I work with the human gesture as the profound wellspring to communicate my deepest life experiences, creating layered, intricate compositions in a poetic aesthetic across all the genres of my work.  I use narrative movements within a ritualized, myth making intention.  In performance and video, I address individuation, aging, loss, resiliency, through a feminist lens. I unearth and utilize the shadow side of a story to suggest the transforming potential of art.  Centering women’s stories is itself a critique of patriarchal codes that have over-determined artistic content over millennia of arts production.

Carl Jung’s writings on alchemy, archetypes, and dreams have inspired me to explore the realm of individual and collective unconscious. My attitude is one of being in service to this content that rises up from my unconscious. His theories of creativity have led me to connect my materials and movement based process with an objective:  to heal the splits within myself as a maker and suggest that potentiality to others.
