Stockton school

"Over the Rainbow" at Stockton School is approximately 190 square feet of mosaic and handmade ceramic tiles. Produced in collaboration with artist Corinne Peterson, Stockton students, and staff, the project began with Sykes’ initial proposal to the school in 1995, and was completed in 2001. Supported by the Illinois Arts Council, Beacon Street Gallery and Chicago Public Art Group, as well as individual donors, this project represents Sykes' long-term commitment to work in the community in which she lives.
